Paint Polyurethane Aliphatic Exterior Matt Fire Retardant Coatings for Blast Protection

Almost all plateforms involved in combat are exposed to blasts from IED's & explosives which warrants certain degree of fire resistance for safety of the plateform as well as personnel. Additionally, fulfilling all other combat theater demands over regular coating performance criteria's.

Aether Polyurethane Exterior Matt Finish is highly Fire-Retardant coating based on Special Resin blends and additives, which gives superior Fire and Blast protection to the substrate. The coating when applied following standard application procedures is Water, Weather and UV Resistant. The Coating is free of Chrome and Lead Pigments, < 90 PPM.

Application Areas

Fire retardant paints help reduce flame spread in case of fire. The paint protects, shields and defends in case of extreme fires. Our flame retardant paint technology can be further incorporated with the MIL standard paints to protection to life and property.

Surface Preparation / Cleaning

Sand Blast the surface to min. Sa 2.5. Surface should be free of oil, grease, dust and loose particles. For mechanical cleaning surface should be sand blasted to min. St 2.A sound prepared surface will lead to a better paint application. When used over old coating systems, the surface must be clean, dry and properly anchored.

Safety, Handling, Storage, Shelf Life:

Store in a cool ( ~25°C ) and dry area, and keep away from direct sun light. For detailed handling procedures please refer to product's MSDS. When stored properly, product has a 1 Year shelf life.
